Leading provider of telecom solutions gains productivity with Data Load Server

Sagent, a leading provider of enterprise business intelligence solutions, today announced that Synchronoss, a leading provider of business process outsourcing supporting Telecom Operational Support System (OSS) solutions has selected Sagent's Data Load Server as its platform for integrating customer data.

"We needed to find a cost-effective solution that allowed us to integrate the numerous and disparate data feeds that we receive from our customers," said David E Berry, Synchronoss CTO. "We looked at other ETL solutions, but we felt that Sagent had the most well-rounded package."
Synchronoss is a pioneer provider of outsourced telecomm operations support systems. With its service model, one of its key challenges was integrating telecom customer data into its application framework efficiently. Especially since its customer data arrives from multiple sources and in multiple forms. Initially, data integration was handled by custom-developed Java and SQL scripts. Creating and maintaining these scripts has been a time-consuming aspect of taking on a new customer because each customer had different data handling requirements.

The combination of Sagent's easy-to-use interface, ability to handle multiple data sources and complex data processing ability provides Synchronoss with an efficient means of streamlining customer data integration. "Sagent is a very easy-to-use product," said Berry. "It will help us get much better leverage with our programming and our operations teams. I'm hoping for a two-fold improvement in productivity."

"Synchronoss has pursued multiple best-of-breed technologies to create their business solution," said John Maxwell, Sagent EVP and GM, Americas and Asia Pacific. "Their adoption of Sagent technology reinforces our belief that Sagent provides superior ease-of-use for the entire organisation, not just IT developers."

Sagent South Africa is the exclusive distributor of the Sagent Solution in southern Africa. In addition to the Sagent solution, the company also offers software independent education and consulting services.
