Nasdeq-listed Sagent Technology, a leading provider of business intelligence solutions, has announced that the company has been named one of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Deloitte & Touche LLP's 2001 Silicon Valley Technology Fast 50 program, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in the area.

Rankings by Deloitte & Touche are based on the percentage of growth in revenues from 1996-2000 (five-year period) and comparing the growth of all companies in the Silicon Valley. These companies, which impact a broad spectrum of industries, are defying conventional wisdom by consistently expanding their revenues over a substantial period of time.

"We attribute our strong growth over the past five years and our inclusion among the Fast 50 to many factors," said Ben Barnes, president and CEO, Sagent. "This includes our ability to deliver superior performance, provide for complex analysis, support large user populations, present a complete view of the customer, and enable rapid implementation. In turn, this has increased our aptitude to compete worldwide and stimulated greater demand for our powerful business intelligence solutions."
In an era when technology companies seem to appear and disappear overnight, making the Deloitte & Touche Fast 50 is a testament to a company's leadership and its ability to not only have the right solution for that moment in time, but also the vision that allows growth over five years. Winners of the 22 regional Fast 50 programs in the US and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte & Touche Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks the nation's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
