Sagent Technology, the Internet business intelligence solutions company, has announced the successful integration of its business intelligence solution with the JD Edwards ERP software backbone. This was done through partnering with Lakewood Technologies, the JD Edwards small business solutions reseller and systems integrator.
According to Paul Murphy, marketing and sales director at Sagent SA, Sagent V4.0 was implemented with JD Edwards' solution on an AS/400 platform. "The concept has now been tested and proved at Coral Chemicals in the USA where they extract and analyse their financial data to identify and monitor sales trends, customer profitability, sales consultant performance levels and margin analyses. It goes beyond the usual recording of the company's activities, by delivering information that managers can base their decisions on."
Lakewood and Sagent used Sagent Solution V4.0 which combines completely integrated Web-enabled data warehouse and business intelligence software, with the JD Edwards ERP software on the AS/400, IBM's midrange platform. Sagent Solution accesses the ERP database, extracting the data, analysing it according to business requirements and delivering business intelligence information.
